Our Personal Experience of Debt
Action for Debt was setup by someone who knows from personal experience how debt can destroy your personal relationships, confidence and day to day life. As someone who has been in a similar situation he has this personal message.
"Having myself faced large debt problems in the early eighties, I know exactly what you are experiencing. At that time there were no companies like Action for Debt to help or offer more than the basics other companies offer like IVA & Debt Management. It is my aim to provide a service providing sometimes more unique ways of resolving all financial issues, which, from my own personal experience, will fulfill your needs and resolve your debt problems".
Individual Voluntary Arrangements
Individual Voluntary Arrangements - When debts become overwhelming, it is common for thoughts of bankruptcy to be seen as a last resort. However, there is an alternative which are far less restrictive but can be just as beneficial for the debtor ... Individual Voluntary Arrangements.
Debt Management
The alternative to consolidation loans or IVAs is a Debt Management Plan, but you have to consider carefully with regards to the amount of time it will take to clear your debt as well as the ongoing fees charged.
One issue Chris has with these plans is, although they can be suitable short term arrangements or if you have equity in a house, the creditors unless asked by the Debt Management company don’t always or might refuse to freeze interest or late payment fees, which can defeat the objective of paying creditors if it is a low contribution. So this has to be checked but they are designed to help you make affordable and sustainable repayments each month.
Bankruptcy
This is seen as the last resort and portrayed my many competitors as well as others who frown upon this action. The director of this company thinks differently and will consider all the options before going down this root. It can be the fastest way to alleviate the struggle from the ever-constant demands for payment by lenders as well as debt collectors and bailiffs.
House Repossessions Stopped
If you have been served an eviction notice by a lender we can help by providing our unique package for the judges viewing, knowing with our experience what the judge is looking for to make a decision on whether the eviction should take place. Please bear in mind Judges don’t want to evict a family out of their home no matter what the lender threatens you with.
To date we have never lost a case that we have taken on and we are so confident that if you tell us all your circumstances and don’t tell us any lies during the process and if we lose the case we will 100% refund our fee so that you have not been put further into debt. We don’t think there is a solicitor that would do this, in fact we have solicitors who have gave us their client to help them through a difficult process. Please don’t think if you have been to court in the past that it can’t be stopped again. (Our record for stopping a client’s house from being repossession is 6 and we won due to the circumstances at the time).
Re-Mortgage Introductions
If you need to release equity, for whatever reason, we can introduce you to various brokers who have access to hundreds of competitive deals.
